Architecture is ultimately the vessel through which human beings experience the cosmos. Before artificial LED emitters bathed our living spaces in sterile flat illumination, the rising sun signaled awakeness, while golden dusk triggered the restorative release of melatonin.
When our studio begins drafting an architectural plan, the very first vector drawn is the celestial arc of the sun at the summer and winter solstices. Living and breakfast pavilions are positioned to capture the cool, energetic spectrum of morning light. Work spaces are shielded from harsh direct glare with deep overhangs and louvers that bounce diffused north light deep into the building core.
In the evening, living spaces celebrate long shadows and warm amber reflections. By sculpting ceilings that rise toward clerestories and choosing wall finishes with subtle micro-textures—such as lime wash or Venetian plaster—we invite natural light to paint ever-changing compositions across the day.
